Musical Beds

We started musical beds last night when Kal went to bed early with a headache. Kris went to bed around 8:30. Kara put on Wile E. Coyote to watch while I sat--then slid down to a horizontal position--on the sofa.

I woke up at 2:00 a.m. on the sofa; Kara was in a pretzel, asleep, on her chair. I got her up and tucked her in bed. When I went to bed, my spot was occupied by Kal, so I just went back to the sofa.

At 4:45, Kal had a dream that startled him, so I ran in to check on him and comfort him for awhile. Then I went beck to the sofa.

Kal couldn't sleep because of the storm, so he came down to the sofa with me, and we curled up under blankets for the last bit of the night before we had to wake up for basketball.

Mom un-win: we were late for basketball because I was a full half-hour off on the time it started. I had the same schedule everyone else did. Dropped that plate.

The rest of the day is metered out for shop time and grocery shopping; the kids are with friends and with Daddy spending gift cards from Christmas.
