Holidays and Fresh Air

Hello, Saturday morning!

Yesterday was Good Friday. Kris was off work for it. I can't remember the last time a holiday affected my work schedule. Wait, actually I can.

It was in 2006. That was my last paycheck job. We didn't have to go to work on 8 select days of the year to honor holidays.

Since then, between having children, running a home, running a business for almost 9 years, and pursuing other interests, holidays became like any other day on the calendar. My work never stopped just because Kris and the kids got to stay home.

Not complaining about it. It's just the way life is for now. It's hard for me to sit and do nothing anyway. I tend to enjoy the day while working in it in some way.

This weekend will be perfect for throwing open the windows, airing out the winter stink, and breathing in the fresh air. And it's so energizing.
